![]() ![]() Did you try to run a MS-DOS command xcopy of which version of MS-DOS under Windows 10, using which file systems and which shells? Thinking of using the Veeam Client for windows, they will lose the option to see the individual files but it should be able to handle the long files and folders.ĭon't understand your topic. So does RoboCopy have the 254 limit ? Was trying to stay with something that customer can still see on the Backup drive, they go to it at times to get a copy of a file.ĭo not know how long this has been going on and they do not call unless they have a problem. I have another customer that I use RoboCopy for and it hangs with error of "cannot access" or "access denied" on some folders, which I have determined are too many character. Reading today that sounds correct, but some post recommend using RoboCopy. They have long file names (half a paragraph) and multiple folders deep, so I figured 254 character was the problem. When I was testing the backup from the new pc it stops with "insufficient memory". Couple of things I will list, maybe they should be separate but all in the same problem. ![]() I am swapping the pc to new Windows 10 Pro / OptiPlex 7070 - 8 GB Ram. Customer has 5 pc that we backup to a network drive with XCopy.
